Principal's
Message
On behalf
of the faculty, support staff and the administration of the St.
Croix Central High School, welcome to the home of the “Mighty
Caribs”. Our academic programs are designed to enable all
graduates to pursue higher education or transition to the world
of work. For the past thirty-seven years our academic preparation
has enabled our graduates to successfully pursue advanced studies
in numerous academic and vocational careers. Many of our graduates
have returned to the Virgin Islands and have made significant
contributions to our community.
Academic
and vocational preparation however is not the only key to your
success as a student of the St. Croix Central High School. Our
most successful students are those who take full advantage of
all programs, activities and services provided by this school.
I strongly encourage you to explore the various academic organizations,
student clubs, counseling services, tutorial programs, extracurricular
activities, job placement programs, mentorship program, and the
community service program. Your secondary education experience
is one that you will cherish and remember as a period of growth,
challenges and enjoyment.
However,
if you are to learn, our school must be safe and comfortable.
We must all strive to create an environment that lends itself
to this endeavor, to insure that every one of you is given that
chance to learn to the best of your ability. The Virgin Islands
Board of Education has promulgated some basic rules and regulations
that address discipline, student rights, personal responsibilities,
and the process in seeking relief if one is aggrieved by a decision
rendered.
Student
handbooks are available for all students
and their parents. It is your responsibility along with your parents
to become familiar with this student handbook. Knowledge of this
information and how well you use it will contribute to your adjustment
and success in senior high school.
Once again,
welcome to the St. Croix Central High School and best wishes for
success in the years ahead.
Mr. Molloy,
Principal
